Korbin's Birthday Cake

After church tonight, we came home and celebrated Korbin's 3rd Birthday again, since today was his actual birthday!! I made a chocolate cake earlier today and we were waiting for Daddy to get home from work.

Happy Birthday to my dear sister Nancy Herrera, who's birthday was July 7th, (she's been pictured on my blog many times :-) I've been meaning to post her b-day message for weeks! Here it is :-)

Mom's 60th Birthday Party

On Saturday, July 4th, we celebrated my Mom's 60th birthday. Her b-day was actually on the 2nd of July.



And my sister, Nancy, surprised me with a birthday cake!! And I had more bday presents and even a few more presents from her and my sister Yesi for my graduation. How sweet!!! I felt very special ;-)
As you can see from all the pictures we had a fun time. The kids enjoyed hanging out, playing, and lighting their fireworks, since it was the 4th of July.



Due to us being out of town, we did miss baby Jared's 1st bday party that was at Mom's (Rowell) house. I heard it was a blast...and we missed it :-( I wish we could have been at both party's, but being that they were 3 hrs away it was impossible!!

Happy Birthday....to ME

It's my Birthday today and I'm ... well, you don't want to know (after 21 you stop counting, right?!!)

Jason and I were up until like 1:30 in the morning talking...doing laundrey, cleaning house, and talking about our birth certificates. Since it was past midnight I told him it was my birthday already...he said, "well, I don't think you were born yet!" So after debating since he thought that I didn't even know where my birth certificate was, when I knew exactly where it was! I pulled it out to check out what time I was born. He was right! It looks like I was born at 6am but I will need to confirm that with my Mom ;-) ... not that it really mattered since it's your b-day all day, right?!! :-) We also pulled out his and we realized that his parents ages were mixed up!

So for my b-day, I got up early (with only having like 4 hrs of sleep), the kids were sound asleep and my Honey got up to wish me a Happy birthday. I went in to the office for some training and I also stopped at the Sprint Store and finally gave in and replaced my old Palm Treo with a new Palm Pro since I need it for my business. I wasn't due for an upgrade so the girl worked with me and gave me "what she said was a good deal!" I also got a free charger, bluetooth, and case for my phone. So, Happy birthday to ME!!

When I got home I had cards and kisses from the kids.

Thank you to all my family and friends for their birthday wishes...I got texts, phone calls, and Dad (Rowell) even left me a v-mail with him singing happy birthday to me!! Very sweet!

Today is our nephew, Sergio Mason's, 6th birthday. Mason's Mommy & Daddy are Nancy (my sister) and Sergio Herrera. He is going to Chuck E. Cheese tomorrow to celebrate his birthday! Wish we could be there... We wish you a Happy, Happy Birthday & hope you get lots of presents!!

Happy Birthday Frank (my brother) and Francisco Daniel (son)!!! Frank's b-day is today, and my nephew turned 11 years old on the 27th. I talked to Frank this morning (he was a bit shocked that I called since I tend not to remember b-days very well...lol...I told him my secret.... I'm writing everyone's b-days down so I don't keep forgetting them!) Frank and his family will be hanging out at home today (considering they have a new baby, who's only a few weeks old) and I'm thinking it's way too cold in McFarland to party right now!

Brooklynn's Birthday Surprise

Our niece Brooklynn turned 11 on the 18th of this month, and her Daddy, Jimmy, had a BIG surprise for her!! He rented a limo for 2 hours and invited ALL the cousins to go see Christmas lights...WOW!! And, we filled up that limo!!

After about an hour of this, the kids were really wild and the adults were really ready for it to end!! I was lucky... Korbin had a accident (he's 2 yrs old and not quite potty trained ... you know where I'm going with this right??) Since everyone was "getting sick" the Limo driver made a quick detour and took us home, leaving ALL the wild kids to finish the last hour!!

Happy Belated Birthday Olivia

Keeping up with family birthdays is a little harder than what I expected! Of all things, I forgot to call my sister, Olivia, this past Wednesday to wish her a happy birthday. Sorry sister :-( I didn't realize that I even forgot her birthday until the day before yesterday!

Well, Happy, Happy Birthday dear Sister!! I left her a message but I'm thinking she hasn't returned my call since she's back East somewhere with her 10 yr old daughter, who runs cross country and is competing. I did hear, from my sister Nancy, that my niece came in 13th place out of about 250 girls!! Wow. I'll post pictures if I can get my hands on some, and I will post a picture of my sister in the next day or so. By the way, my niece is one of the best in California and that's one of the reasons she travels to other states to compete...she can outrun girls even in divisions older than her!! Way to go Sonia!!

Birthday party aftermath

At 7:30 this morning, I was rudely awakened by my beautiful, just turned 14 yr old, wondering where her birthday money was, from the family party we had last night!! What!!! It’s 7:30 and you just woke me up from a dream!!

Anyway, seeing that she was serious about this, and after scolding her for leaving the b-day money in an envelope! (after she, accusingly, asked if I threw away any pink envelopes with her name written on it)! I got up!!! I know, sounds confusing, but that’s how it was, at 7:30 this morning.

I asked her if she went through ALL her stuff and did she check the trash…. I told her to run outside and grab the 2 trash bags that were on the very top of the dumpster, since today is trash day!! You guessed it. I dug in the trash this morning…Where is the picture you’re asking?? Yuck, that’s nasty, I’m not taking a picture of the trash I just dug through, lol!!

Anyway, continuing with my story, which happened at 7:30 this morning…I was digging through the trash, as neighbors drove by and probably wondered why “that crazy lady, in a pink robe” was digging in people’s trash.” Yeah, do you think Meagan was out there? Nope!! (Ok... I do have to give Meg credit, she did help me with one.) After dumping several bags, Meagan going back in the house, and returning to the front door to say something about the envelop had been under the couch, or on the armrest of the couch... Mind you, she’s at the front door and I’m at the curb (with cars driving by) and I really can’t hear what she’s saying!! I’m focused on digging through the trash, since I see the trash truck approaching me, and it’s about 4 houses away. (Trash truck approaches, but drives by without stopping, I guess he's not our trash man.)

I went back in the house to find Meg sitting, very calmly on her bed, sorting through her b-day presents, only to find out that she had found the money (while I had been outside, still digging in the trash!) She said, "I told you I found it." I guess that's what she was trying to tell me when she appeared at the doorway and I was at the curb!!

Happy Birthday to our baby girl, Meagan, who's 14 yrs old today!! WOW!! We are so proud of you and LOVE you sooooo very much!

Today, December 4th is my brother-in-law, Javier's, birthday. "Javie" is married to my sister Olivia. I just called him to wish him a "Happy Birthday" and he told me he took the day off, and made a trip to the dr's office since he's been a little ill :-( ... happy recovery to you.

Today, November 22nd, is my husband's birthday, and what a great day to start our log...considering the occasion!

This first post is dedicated to my dear husband, the love of my life, the father of our three beautiful children. I love you today, tomorrow, and always...

Well, the excitement all started the night before...I had the "bright" idea of creating him a birthday card, instead of buying the traditional $4.00 card at Wal-Mart. Anyway, I did go to Wal-Mart at about 10pm (that night) for supplies and bought scrapbooking stuff to make him a cute card, since I was inspired to create one for him, and I was going to let the kids do one too. We got back from Wal-Mart and I didn't actually get started on the card until like 1am... Yup, 1am. I stayed up until 5:30am (that's the time I crawled in bed).... Was I tired, you may ask? Not really, but my feet were freezing, since the house was really cold.

We slept in and got up at about 10am that morning. The kids n I fixed him a nice breakfast... eggs, pancakes, sausage, and had a few cups of COFFEE. I even made him a "D" shaped pancake (for Daddy). Here are a few pictures of the cards we made!! (I would post a few pictures of us, but considering we had just woken up and all of them are of us in our pj's, I figured it was best to leave them out, lol :-) They are cute though!
